    Ukraine Tour

    After the triumph in Bulgaria and Mexico, Elliniko Theatro sets sail for the Ukraine, for a series of performances of ‘The Apology of Socrates’ with Russian surtitles in Kiev, Odessa, Mariupol and Lviv. With the Leventis Foundation as the main sponsor and under the aegis of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this tour includes partnerships with the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Odessa, the Greek Embassy in Kiev as well as Astra, Universal and Piraeus Banks.     Bulgaria tour

    In October 2011, Elliniko Theatro is presenting ‘The Apology of Socrates’ in educational and cultural centres of Bulgaria, in English or Greek, with innovative Bulgarian surtitles. The tour is sponsored by the Leventis Foundation, supported by the Greek Consulate of Plovdiv and includes venues in Sofia, Plovdiv, Bourgas and Sozopol.     Elliniko Theatro in Luxembourg!

    After the triumph in Belgium, Elliniko Theatro travelled to Luxembourg, to present the Apology of Socrates to 200 students at the European School of Luxembourg on May 18th. On May 20th, the Hellenic Community of Luxembourg hosted Cavafy: The Poet of the City in Greek with English surtitles, which was reviewed as ”a fascinating reading performance” by leading newspaper La Voix du Luxembourg.  On May 25th The Apology of Socrates was presented  at a transatlantic conference hosted by the University of Luxembourg, entitled ‘Living Culture in the University‘, in front of 200 participants from the EU and the USA.

    Touching all-day reading of the Iliad at the Getty Museum

    The all day audience-participation reading at the Getty Villa, Malibu (USA) was a success: 160 Readers of Homer, an exhibition of ancient artifacts related to the Homeric Epics, ancient Greek melodies and tastes created an impressive setting in an internationally renowned cultural centre.
